Why haven’t we heard of all the benefits turmeric offers including it being a cancer cure?

For two years, the US held a patent on turmeric.  The patent originally gave exclusive rights to the patent applicants.  This was so until India stepped up and provided so much evidence that turmeric had been in use since the dawn of time, some of the info provided to the patent office was over 100 years old!  Finally, after two years, the patent on turmeric was revoked.

The information that is trying to be used against turmeric is that since there are no trials, the effectiveness of turmeric is not proven! However, it has been in use for over five thousand years in East Europe!

This sounds like another case of cannabis!
